General Internal Medicine FMH
General medical care and treatment (including home visits) of disorders and diseases covering the entire spectrum of general internal medicine. There is close cooperation with specialists in various fields such as cardiology, orthopaedics or gastroenterology.
Diagnostic methods are available in practice:
24 hours blood pressure measurement
In addition to curative and rehabilitative medicine, the prevention (prophylaxis) of diseases and health disorders is becoming increasingly important. We therefore draw up an individual ‘risk profile’ which is supplemented by targeted screening and preventive examinations, including risks for:
Diseases of the cardiovascular system (heart attack, stroke)
Fat metabolism disorders, diabetes
Respiratory diseases (asthma, lung cancer)
Huneke Neural Therapy
Neural therapy is an effective method of treating acute and chronic pain and various diseases. By injecting small amounts of procaine (local anaesthetic), malfunctions of the organism are normalized and the self-healing of associated health disorders is supported. The specialists of the Swiss Society SANTH apply neural therapy daily to many patients.
Centre for Vital Substance Therapy
Vital substances are endogenous macro- and micronutrients which are used specifically in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. The use of vital substances is carried out in order to optimise treatment with orthodox medicine. It is often possible to reduce the dose and possible side effects of synthetic drugs. Vital substance therapy can also be necessary and useful in cases of incompatibility and lack of effect of classic drugs. The findings of orthomolecular medicine are used in numerous indications in the “Neubad” practice.
Centre for chronic pain (including sports injuries, migraine, fibromyalgia)
“Neubad” practice is the “Centre for Chronic Pain”.
The following therapies are used:
Systemic and local therapy with 5HT3 receptor antagonists
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy
There is close technical cooperation with the Pain Clinic Basel (Dr. Seidel) and the Swiss Fibromyalgia Association (www.suisse-fibromyalgie.ch).
