Vital Substance Therapy Centre

Vital substances are the body’s own macro- and micronutrients which are specifically used in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. The vital substances are used to optimise treatment with conventional medicines. It is often possible to reduce the dose and possible side effects of synthetic drugs. Vital substance therapy can also be necessary and sensible in cases of intolerance and lack of effect of classical medicine. At Praxis “Neubad”, the findings of orthomolecular medicine are applied to numerous indications.

The term orthomolecular means the right (ortho = well, right) molecules – in the figurative sense the right nutrient molecules (molecular = smallest building blocks).

Fields of application

At Praxis “Neubad”, the findings of orthomolecular medicine are applied to the following indications, among others:

  • CFS (Chronique Fatigue Syndrom), Burn-out

  • Stomach – intestinal disorders, malabsorption

  • Migraine and chronic headaches

  • Accompanying cancer diseases

  • Fibromyalgia and neuropathic pain (herpes zoster)

  • Anxiety and panic disorders, depression

  • Diabetes, fat metabolism disorders

  • Asthma and Allergies

  • Postoperative recovery and wound healing disorders

  • Accelerated Regeneration after intensive athletic load (in accordance with the official antidoping guidelines

Clinical studies have shown that vitamins and other endogenous vital substances have great benefits in the prevention and treatment of numerous diseases and increase general health and well-being (revitalization).

The administration of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other natural organic compounds as infusions is based on scientific knowledge of biochemistry and physiology.
The infusions are performed according to an individualized plan according to the requirements and needs of each patient.

The following intravenous therapies are offered:

Vitamin C has a preventive, activating, stabilizing and regenerating effect on the body. In order to achieve a therapeutic or preventive effect, in many situations a much higher dose of vitamin C is required than the organism can absorb via the gastrointestinal tract. Vitamin C infusions can achieve vitamin C concentrations in the tissues and cells that would not be possible with oral administration.

Vitamin C has a preventive effect as an effective radical scavenger in a variety of diseases such as arteriosclerosis, rheumatism, cancer, Alzheimer and Parkinson.

Vitamin C activates the body’s own defences (chemotaxis and phagocytosis) and stimulates the immune system (immunoglobulin synthesis, complement system, interferon production).

Vitamin C stabilises the internal environment, promotes internal balance and a balanced psyche, good sleep and the formation and maintenance of connective tissue and bones (e.g. collagen formation).

Vitamin C regenerates other antioxidants in the body (vitamin E, glutathione), accelerates wound healing and supports detoxification reactions (CYP 450).

A vitamin C infusion can be applied to:

  • Common colds

  • Acute and chronic infections e.g. herpes infections

  • Immunodeficiency

  • Rheumatoid arthritis

  • Chronic intestinal diseases

  • Cancers

  • Allergies, bronchial asthma, hay fever

  • Cardiovascular illnesses

  • Vascular disorders

  • Diabetes

  • Stress (physical, psychological)

  • Neurodegenerative Diseases

  • Muscle and bone pain

  • Smokers and alcohol consumption

  • Taking medication and liver diseases

  • Regeneration after illness and operations

  • Wound healing disorders, injuries

Vitamin C high-dose therapy usually begins with a dose of 7.5 g per infusion and can then be gradually increased from the second infusion onwards. Vitamin C infusions are usually very well tolerated, undesirable side effects are extremely rare.

The normal composition of the “Myers Cocktail” consists of various B vitamins (B complex), magnesium, calcium and vitamin C. By the mixture of different vitamin and mineral substances different body functions can be sensibly treated. Depending on the needs and requirements of the patient, the composition of the infusion can be changed and adapted.

Myers cocktail as an infusion can be given at:

  • Depression and mood swings

  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Heart diseases

  • Migraine and tension headache

  • Allergies and Asthma

  • Anxiety and sleep disorders

The “Vita-Balance” infusion is carried out according to a proven and tested scheme – if necessary combined with micronutrients and vitamins. The composition of the “Vita-Balance” infusion makes it possible to restore the structure of the cell membranes, maintain their healthy structure and repair the oxidative damage.

The “Vita-Balance” infusion can be used, for example, during or after the treatment:

  • Anti-aging, purification, detoxification – fatigue, fatigue, insomnia, stress, need for regeneration, irritability, anxiety, tendency to despondency and depression

  • Atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, tinnitus, erectile dysfunction, general calcification of the blood vessels, post stroke treatment, hypertension, memory disorders

  • Liver metabolic disorders, metabolic syndrome, fat metabolic disorders, chronic liver diseases

The number of infusions depends on the type and severity of the disturbances/illnesses and can be repeated several times a year as a therapy.

In the case of procaine-base infusion or so-called “systemic” neural therapy, the local anaesthetic (procaine) is administered in combination with a base (sodium hydrogen carbonate) as an infusion. This combination has a beneficial effect on chronic pain and inflammatory conditions.

The intravenous administration of procaine has a positive effect on the entire nervous system of the body, is anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. This reduces existing pain and brings a nervous system sensitized by chronic pain back to a normal state of excitement.

The base sodium hydrogen carbonate prolongs the effect of the procaine, improves the cell environment and optimises the acid-base ratio of the body.

Basically, a series of six to ten infusions should be performed. The interval between treatments varies depending on the severity of the disease and is one to several times a week. If well tolerated, the procaine dose is gradually increased until the optimal effect is achieved.

The main area of application for neural therapy is acute and chronic pain. In the sense of a regulation therapy, however, it can also be used to support or even cure a number of chronic organ diseases.

A procaine base infusion can be used to treat the following disorders and diseases:

  • acute and chronic pain conditions

  • inflammatory and degenerative diseases (rheumatic diseases, fibromyalgia, migraine, neuralgia)

  • gastrointestinal disorders

  • lung, heart and kidney diseases

  • chronic almond, paranasal sinus and dental diseases

  • circulatory problems

Magnesium is one of the most important minerals and is involved in more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. Administered as an infusion, it can be dosed in higher doses than oral and has a nerve-soothing and muscle and vascular relaxing effect.

Magnesium infusions (also in combination with other vital substances) can be administered for the following diseases and disorders:

  • Anxious stress states

  • Cardiac arrhythmias

  • Fibromyalgia

  • High blood pressure

  • Tension headache and migraine

Alpha lipoic acid

Alpha lipoic acid is a very important antioxidant of the body. It can protect the more aqueous cell areas, blood and the extracellular space as well as the fatty cell parts (e.g. cell walls, membranes), lipoproteins in the blood or the fatty nerve sheaths from oxidation.

The ability of lipoic acid to regenerate itself and the important antioxidants vitamin C and E, glutathione and coenzyme Q10 is unique, i.e. it restores the full antioxidant power of these protective substances.

Glutathione detoxifies the organism and is regarded by vitamin researchers as a “key antioxidant”. Low glutathione levels are observed in brain damage and numerous chronic diseases.

Liponic acid regenerates glutathione and increases its blood level. Since lipoic acid is the only antioxidant that easily reaches the brain, it can neutralize the nitrogen radicals, which are particularly dangerous for brain cells.

The beneficial influence of lipoic acid on mental performance and memory as well as on the prevention and treatment of strokes has been proven. Lipoic acid “repairs and revitalizes spent circuits in aged brain cells”.

The most important effects of alpha lipoic acid glutathione infusions are:

  • Improvement of mental performance and memory

  • Repair of damaged nerves

  • Improvement of sugar metabolism

  • Detoxification of the whole body

  • Discharges of heavy metals

  • Protection against oxidative and nitrosative stress

  • Regeneration of antioxidants

  • Accumulation of energy reserves

  • Activation of the immune system

The additional intake of micronutrients such as vitamins, trace elements and minerals is necessary, with particular emphasis on the components coenzyme Q10 and L-carnitine.

The name coenzyme Q 1 stands for NADH. NADH stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide hydride, NADH or coenzyme 1 for short. Simply put, it is biological hydrogen. NADH is found in every plant, animal and human cell, which is why we take it into our daily diet. Because it is a natural molecule that occurs everywhere, it has no side effects.

NADH is the bottleneck of energy production in the cell. The more NADH is available (together with coenzyme Q10), the more energy is produced, and vice versa.

NADH reacts in every cell with the oxygen that we take in through breathing. This produces the universal energy molecule ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and water that occurs in every cell.

NADH is involved in over a thousand metabolic processes and therefore has a variety of effects.

NADH increases the energy in the cells, strengthens the immune system, relieves pain and acts as a strong antioxidant.

Due to its many positive effects, NADH can be used for many diseases and health disorders. For example:

  • Chronic Fatigue (CFS)

  • Depressions

  • Parkinson’s

  • Multiple sclerosis

  • Alzheimer / Dementia

  • Burnout

  • Brain disorders

  • Apoplexy

  • Insomnia

  • ADS and ADHS

  • Cancer

  • Diabetes Type II

  • Menopausal symptoms

  • Arthrosis

  • Increase in performance

  • Glaucoma (increased eye pressure)

  • Macular degeneration

Coenzyme Q10 is known to most people as the anti-aging agent in creams for example. But in the meantime, the coenzyme Q10 has been investigated by scientists. Q10 obviously contains much more than just an anti-wrinkle agent. The coenzyme Q10 is needed by every cell of our body to ensure the energy supply. Q10 activates the immune system, strengthens the heart and nerves and even increases fat burning.

NADH and Q10 complement each other ideally in their effects and are therefore used in a sensible combination in an infusion. Through oral therapy, the achieved effect can be maintained in the long term.
